Ujjain – Mahakaleshwar temple
We will start our journey from the meeting point in Bhopal, but if you are in a group, the ride will start from the passenger’s chosen destination. All our travelers will be welcomed with some refreshments and snacks. Each individual will be given a 1-liter water bottle. The journey will start at 9 am from Bhopal; the distance between these two destinations is 192 km which will take 4 hours approx.
Meanwhile, the passengers will get a chance to have some local snacks and meals. Lunch will be made during the journey only; after reaching the booked hotel rooms, passengers are free to explore that day on their own. The next morning after breakfast, we will proceed toward the temple.
Remember not to carry any leather materials like a belt, purse, or other items; instead, use any cotton or nylon bag to carry your belongings. On this day, you will attend the “Maha Aarti” and have lunch inside the temple premises. You are also free to explore the local market near the temples, and several small shops for local snacks and meals are available. Women can visit the saree shop.
Sanchi – Buddha temple, Sanchi Stupas
The next morning after breakfast, all the travelers will check out with their belongings, and we will move to our next destination, Sanchi. It is 340 km from Ujjain, which will take around 6 hours to reach. The Mauryan king Ashoka built the temple in the 3rd century BC.
One can notice the Mauryan empire-style structure all over the temple; here, you will also visit the stupas built for Buddhist monks. The tour will take around 2 hours; after that, we will visit a nearby museum where you will witness Mauryan eras, tools, sculptures, monuments and artifacts.
Amarkantak – Pataleshwar Mahadev
It is known as Pataleshwar Mahadev, or God Shiva’s temple, and it is located around 510 km from Sanchi, which will take approx. 12 hours to reach the stay. There are several places you can visit here apart from the Pataleshwar temple like Kapil Dhara – Dudh Dhara, a waterfall, an ancient temple built by Kalachuri dynasties in 11AD, Shri Yantra mandir, Jain mandir and more.
The Jain temple is a beautifully crafted and manmade giant structure, the idol of Mahavir is built from ashta-dhatu, which means eight types of metal. It is a must to visit tourist points; you can also visit Sonmuda hill point, a breathtaking peak. After the day-long tour, you will return to your stay and the rest of the time are free to explore on your own.
Jhansi – Khajuraho temple
The next morning, after breakfast, we will proceed towards Jhansi, 540 km from Amarkantak. Due to the long distance, we will take one halt only for lunch. We will reach Jhansi by night so that you can have dinner after check-in to your hotels.
The next morning, we will visit Khajuraho temple, one of India’s national heritages. It is also awarded UNESCO’s world heritage place; the unbelievable design and structure will force you to raise your eyebrow. As the day ends, our tour will come to an end. The next morning we will return to Bhopal, where the journey will end.
